It took way more effort than it should have, but my apartment is finally (mostly) back in order. They've put the wooden framework around the wires and cables in my living room, so I was finally able to move my furniture back. I've had contractors in-and-out of my apartment for months. I was given a schedule for when they would be here. Said schedule was apparently a point-blank lie.

Needless to say, my frustration level is rising. Fast.

On the positive side, as long as nothing unexpected happens, my apartment should be completely renovated by late Friday afternoon. That will include a new stove (gas! not electric!), my own heating and air systems that I can control, and bulkheads over the ugly pipes and cables that have been visible for something like 4-5 months now ( Read more... )
